Key Qualifications:
- Current certification or license as a School Psychologist (as required by state regulations)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and counseling techniques
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Develop comprehensive intervention and support plans for students requiring additional assistance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services to students and families
- Offer consultation and professional development to teachers and staff regarding student mental health and learning concerns
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines
