Elementary School Psychologist - New Britain, CT

Step into a fulfilling role supporting elementary students' wellbeing and academic success. This contract opportunity offers a set schedule of 37.5 hours per week, running from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, in a dynamic elementary school environment near New Britain, CT. Work closely with a small, manageable caseload of 10 students, focusing on critical assessments and providing some counseling services.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification for Connecticut
• Experience working with elementary-aged students
• Strong assessment and counseling skills
• Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
• Availability for full-time, onsite work (no remote/hybrid)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and assessments
• Deliver targeted counseling services to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement IEPs
• Consult with teachers and caregivers to provide recommendations and strategies for classroom success
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to ongoing progress monitoring
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students on your caseload
