This contract opportunity offers a set schedule of 37.5 hours per week, running from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, in a dynamic elementary school environment near New Britain, CT. Work closely with a small, manageable caseload of 10 students, focusing on critical assessments and providing some counseling services.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification for Connecticut
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong assessment and counseling skills
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
- Availability for full-time, onsite work (no remote/hybrid)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and assessments
- Deliver targeted counseling services to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement IEPs
- Consult with teachers and caregivers to provide recommendations and strategies for classroom success
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to ongoing progress monitoring
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students on your caseload
