Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Strong consultation and teamwork skills with school staff and families
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local special education regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students as needed
- Support educators through training, resources, and ongoing consultation
- Participate in problem-solving teams and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty
