This contract position offers the chance to work onsite, fostering growth and positive outcomes for elementary-age students through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year.
In this role, you’ll bring your expertise in school psychology to collaborate with educators, families, and students. You'll assess needs, help develop interventions, and contribute to a holistic approach to academic and social-emotional well-being.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Delaware School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience working directly with school-age children, ideally in elementary settings
- Knowledge of assessment tools, IEP processes, and intervention strategies
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Willingness to complete CBC fingerprinting ($85) as part of the onboarding process
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide recommendations for behavioral and academic interventions
- Support crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing your expertise to student support plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
