Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving elementary and secondary students for the 2025/2026 academic year as a School Psychologist. Based near New Haven, CT, this role begins August 25, 2025, and runs through June 11, 2026. Working a consistent weekday schedule of 8:30am to 3:30pm and totaling 37.5 hours per week, you’ll provide expert psychological services and support teams dedicated to student growth.

Background and qualifications sought:

  • Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License (required)
  • Proven experience with K-12 population
  • Strong knowledge of psychological evaluations, re-evaluations, and behavioral assessments
  • Skilled in report writing and direct counseling with students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with PPT teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with state and federal education guidelines
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive school climate

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Preparing detailed reports that inform interventions and support plans
  • Delivering short-term counseling and support to students
  • Liaising with the PPT (Planning and Placement Team) to develop individualized education plans
  • Offering consultation to educators, staff, and families on student needs
  • Promoting a supportive environment for diverse learners
  • Monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing trainings
