This contract opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 school year, running from ASAP through the end of November, with a 37.5-hour work week. You'll play a pivotal role supporting both students and the PPT team, using your expertise to foster an inclusive and supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License required
- Previous experience as a school psychologist or in school-based psychological services preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and reporting skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, family members, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in handling evaluations, re-evaluations, and providing direct interventions to students
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, re-evaluations, and write detailed reports
- Deliver individual and group counseling for students as needed
- Collaborate closely with the PPT team to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Offer direct support and interventions to students to address diverse needs
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to develop strategies and interventions tailored to student success
- Help create a positive and inclusive school climate by promoting emotional wellness and resilience
