Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia School Psychologist License required
  • Prior experience working with K-12 or elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong background in student evaluations, data analysis, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills when working with students, parents, and educators
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads and support students with varying needs
  • Flexible approach and desire to foster inclusive, positive learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) or interventions
  • Provide counseling and direct support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning
  • Contribute to the development of effective academic and behavioral interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
  • Maintain thorough documentation in alignment with school and district policies
