Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist License required
- Prior experience working with K-12 or elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong background in student evaluations, data analysis, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills when working with students, parents, and educators
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and support students with varying needs
- Flexible approach and desire to foster inclusive, positive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) or interventions
- Provide counseling and direct support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning
- Contribute to the development of effective academic and behavioral interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Maintain thorough documentation in alignment with school and district policies
