Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential recognized in Illinois
- Previous experience in a school-based setting (K-8 preferred)
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to analyze data for the development of effective interventions
- Skilled at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine student needs and eligibility for special education services
- Facilitate and participate in IEP/504 meetings, making recommendations for student supports
- Deliver individual and small group counseling targeting academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges
- Develop intervention plans and monitor student progress
- Work closely with staff and families to create positive classroom environments
- Provide crisis intervention and participate in school-wide initiatives to boost mental wellness
