School Psychologist - New London, CT

Step into a rewarding, full-time opportunity as a School Psychologist at the elementary level for a contract position spanning from August through the Christmas break, with the potential for extension. The position is in person, providing direct engagement with students, educators, and families to foster a positive educational experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a current Connecticut Psychology Certification (CT psych cert.)
• Previous experience as a School Psychologist in an educational setting, preferably at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of psychological assessment, intervention, and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to supporting a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for referred students
• Provide direct intervention and counseling services to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective supports, intervention plans, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in eligibility and planning meetings as a vital member of the school support team
• Consult with staff and parents regarding strategies to enhance student well-being and achievement
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to all ethical and compliance standards
