Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Connecticut Psychology Certification (CT psych cert.)
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in an educational setting, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong understanding of psychological assessment, intervention, and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to supporting a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for referred students
- Provide direct intervention and counseling services to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective supports, intervention plans, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in eligibility and planning meetings as a vital member of the school support team
- Consult with staff and parents regarding strategies to enhance student well-being and achievement
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to all ethical and compliance standards
