Step into a rewarding role as a School Psychologist in the vibrant New Orleans area! With a full-time schedule—Monday through Friday, 7-hour days plus a 30-minute lunch—you’ll have the structure and stability of a school calendar, starting August 3, 2026, and running through May 27, 2027.
We’re seeking dedicated professionals ready to collaborate with school teams, support students, and contribute to positive educational outcomes. You’ll be assigned to one or more schools (details to be confirmed), working with students across various grade levels and tailoring your approach to meet each unique need.
What you’ll bring:
- Current, active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
- Experience in school settings (prior experience with PreK–12th grade populations a plus)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, student-centered approach
- Ability to complete required credentialing, including district drug screening and fingerprinting
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop and support evidence-based interventions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote students’ academic and emotional well-being
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
