Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (REQUIRED)
  • Experienced in or passionate about working within a school setting
  • Adaptability to serve multiple schools or age groups (specific assignments determined upon hire)
  • Clear background (district-mandated drug screen and fingerprinting required)
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with both staff and students

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, interventions, and consultation with school teams
  • Develop strategies to support student learning and social-emotional well-being
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP/504 processes
  • Offer crisis intervention and collaborate with school personnel regarding student support plans
  • Maintain all required documentation and reports as outlined by district and state guidelines
