In this position, you'll play a key part in assessing and supporting students, particularly within the CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) age range. You'll conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and prepare thorough reports, helping shape educational strategies and interventions that foster student growth and well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Current New York State certification as a School Psychologist
- Fluency in both Yiddish and English is essential
- Prior experience in a K-12 school setting highly valued
- Familiarity with CPSE evaluation procedures and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to culturally responsive practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychological evaluations for students, especially within the CPSE age group
- Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide actionable insight on student needs
