Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist or Public Health Psychologist
- Strong background in educational and developmental psychology, including experience working with children and adolescents
- Comprehensive knowledge of special education processes, including assessments and IEP development
- Ability to interpret evaluation results and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design interventions and support plans
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to students, families, and school staff
- Assist educators with strategies for classroom management and promoting student mental health
- Analyze data to assess student progress and effectiveness of interventions
- Contribute to student support meetings, offering recommendations grounded in psychological best practices
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements
