School Psychologist - Newark, DE

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Delaware School Psychologist license (required)
• Experience supporting elementary students preferred
• Expertise in conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and providing counseling
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
• Willingness to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct psychological services and support to elementary-aged students
• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
• Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
• Support student success through consultation and advocacy
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements

Position Details:

• Full-time, onsite role (Monday–Friday, 35 hours/week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Contract runs through June 8, 2027
• Elementary school setting, working with a diverse student caseload
