Make a meaningful difference in the educational journey of young learners as an onsite school psychologist at an elementary school near Newark, DE. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience supporting elementary students preferred
- Expertise in conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and providing counseling
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
- Willingness to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct psychological services and support to elementary-aged students
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Support student success through consultation and advocacy
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
Position Details:
- Full-time, onsite role (Monday–Friday, 35 hours/week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Contract runs through June 8, 2027
- Elementary school setting, working with a diverse student caseload
