Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience conducting assessments, counseling students, and writing reports for educational planning
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural school environment
Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological and academic assessments to identify student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer evidence-based recommendations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative services for students and staff
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators to foster supportive learning spaces
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and comply with all relevant regulations
