School Psychologist in Newark, NJ

This full-time opportunity, situated in a vibrant community near Newark, NJ, runs from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM and focuses primarily on supporting Pre-K through 4th-grade learners across several school buildings.

In this role, your impact will be felt across a caseload of 40-50 students receiving case management services, with an additional 2-8 students receiving specialized counseling. As you collaborate with educators, families, and support staff, you’ll contribute to a nurturing school environment where every student is equipped to achieve their potential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution
• Valid state certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience working in Pre-K–8 educational settings preferred
• Strong skills in conducting assessments, interpreting data, and developing IEPs
• Compassionate, effective communicator with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to thrive across multiple school sites, adapting quickly to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and psycho-social assessments
• Offer individual and small-group counseling tailored to students’ specific emotional and behavioral needs
• Manage case documentation, maintain accurate and timely records, and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
• Consult with educators and parents to develop and monitor individualized student supports and interventions
• Contribute to building-wide initiatives supporting the social-emotional well-being of all students
