K-5 Grades 6 - 8 School Psychologist - Newark, New Jersey

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with students in grades K–12 (K–5, 6–8, 9–12)
• Strong understanding of developmental, behavioral, and educational psychology
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and consult with multidisciplinary teams
• Organized, flexible, and able to balance several priorities within a school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs
• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective interventions
• Assist in the creation and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in crisis intervention and response as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with regulations
