Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold active and valid licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Virginia
- Background working professionally within a K-12 academic setting, with a strong preference for elementary caseload experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of educational assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle a diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments to identify students’ needs
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support the emotional and academic growth of students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to stay current with best practices
