Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in New York State
- Experience working within a high school or secondary education setting preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Strong assessment, counseling, and reporting skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual psycho-educational assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to high school students as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support academic and behavioral interventions
- Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to address student concerns
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
