This engaging role, located near Norfolk, VA, is perfect for skilled school psychologists passionate about making a difference in educational settings. The position offers a full-time schedule (35-37.5 hours per week) from August 2026 through June 2027. If you have a preference for a particular caseload, such as working with certain grade levels, please share your interests, as flexibility may be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to support student learning and wellbeing
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families
  • Provide expertise in developing effective support strategies for students
  • Engage in data-driven decision-making to promote positive school environments
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and serve as a resource on psychological practices
  • Complete required documentation and reporting to maintain compliance and track student progress

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Valid school psychologist certification or eligibility in Virginia
  • Experience working across elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
  • Knowledge of assessment techniques and special education processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfortable participating in virtual/VOCO services; candidates with prior VOCO experience will be given priority consideration
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to student success
