Key Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist license (or eligibility) in the state of VA
  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and compiling comprehensive reports
  • Strong knowledge of special education processes, RTI/MTSS, and FBA/BIP strategies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with school staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments to determine educational needs and services
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Provide direct and consultative psychological services to students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and offer recommendations for interventions
  • Support crisis response, social-emotional learning initiatives, and behavioral interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all school processes and timelines
  • Assist with staff training and parent engagement related to psychological and mental health services
