Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist license (or eligibility) in the state of VA
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and compiling comprehensive reports
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, RTI/MTSS, and FBA/BIP strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with school staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments to determine educational needs and services
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services to students
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and offer recommendations for interventions
- Support crisis response, social-emotional learning initiatives, and behavioral interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all school processes and timelines
- Assist with staff training and parent engagement related to psychological and mental health services
