School Psychologist - North East, MD

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled school psychologists eager to make a meaningful impact in educational settings near Elkton, MD. Two contract positions are currently open to provide critical psychological services in both elementary and middle school environments. These roles offer the chance to support students’ growth, collaborate with dedicated teams, and apply your expertise in psychoeducational assessment.

Responsibilities include conducting a variety of psychoeducational evaluations, participating in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings, and providing individual or group counseling services. You’ll help ensure that students’ academic, emotional, and social needs are met, working closely with educators and families to foster positive learning outcomes.

Preferred candidates should possess the following:

• Valid MSDE psychology certification
• Prior experience as a School Psychologist in K-12 or similar settings
• Confidence conducting psychoeducational evaluations
• Experience participating in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings
• Strong counseling skills for managing a variable caseload
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Position Details:

• Contract through June 12 (tentative end date)
• Approximately 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (Elementary: 8:15-3:45, Secondary: 7:30-3:00)
• Caseload: Average of 70 evaluations plus counseling (varies with referrals)
• In-person presence is preferred
• Technology such as a laptop will be provided
