Make a positive impact supporting K-5 students as a School Psychologist in a collaborative elementary school environment. This full-time, onsite contract role focuses on comprehensive services, where you'll contribute expertise in student assessment and program development while working alongside dedicated educational professionals.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in an elementary school setting is preferred
- Knowledge of eligibility determination and student evaluation processes
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and legal requirements
- Comfortable participating in risk and threat assessment protocols
- Effective communicator, adept at working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct eligibility determinations, initial evaluations, and re-evaluations for K-5 students
- Participate fully in IEP development, including creation and review of documentation, and engaging in team meetings
- Serve on the risk and threat assessment team, providing assessments and recommendations as appropriate
- Offer consultation, strategies, and resources to building staff and student support teams
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with school policies and state/federal guidelines
- Foster inclusive, supportive learning environments by using data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices
