Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for New York State
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working with high school–level students preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessments, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for high school students as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative support to students and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Offer recommendations and strategies to address behavioral, academic, and social-emotional concerns
- Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
