Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for New York State
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience working with high school–level students preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessments, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and academic assessments for high school students as needed
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative support to students and staff
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
  • Offer recommendations and strategies to address behavioral, academic, and social-emotional concerns
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
