Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license in Vermont (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience providing psychological services in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Proficiency in conducting educational evaluations, cognitive and behavioral assessments, and creating intervention plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide counseling, participate in IEP meetings, and consult with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexible, resourceful, and compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for K-6 students
- Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions tailored to each student’s needs
- Consult with staff and families regarding educational and behavioral supports
- Serve as a member of the school’s special education team, participating in eligibility meetings and progress monitoring
- Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through preventative and responsive services
