Elementary Licensed School Psychologist in Norwalk, IA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and valid license as a School Psychologist
• Certification to serve in elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Previous experience working in schools or educational settings highly valued
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Expertise in developing and implementing intervention strategies
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments for students and interpret results for IEP and 504 eligibility
• Support students' social, emotional, and academic needs through individualized and group counseling
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and monitor intervention plans
• Offer crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
• Participate actively in student support and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide consultation and professional development to school staff regarding best practices in student mental health and learning
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation as required by school and state regulations
