Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification is required.
- Previous experience working with elementary-age children strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and behavioral interventions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently.
- Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments.
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and Section 504 plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and address students’ needs.
- Engage in problem-solving and contribute insights to help promote positive school climate.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and federal regulations.
- Serve as a resource on mental health, crisis intervention, and academic support strategies.
