Step into an impactful, full-time opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist in a contract, long-term substitute position with an August start, running through the Christmas break—with the possibility for an extension. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification is required.
  • Previous experience working with elementary-age children strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and behavioral interventions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently.
  • Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments.
  • Support the development and implementation of IEPs and Section 504 plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and address students’ needs.
  • Engage in problem-solving and contribute insights to help promote positive school climate.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as a resource on mental health, crisis intervention, and academic support strategies.
