Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Successful completion of a graduate internship in a school setting
- Experience with assessments, IEPs, and counseling preferred
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations governing special education
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to help guide educational planning
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide individual and group counseling services to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Work closely with teachers and staff to recommend interventions and strategies to promote positive learning environments
- Engage with families to discuss student progress and strategies for at-home support
- Maintain detailed, confidential records in accordance with compliance standards
