School Psychologist in Oakland, CA

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a skilled school psychologist supporting K-5 students in a welcoming elementary school environment. This contract opportunity offers a flexible hybrid schedule of 14 hours per week, beginning August 20th. The role includes one day providing services on campus near Oakland, CA, and one day working virtually, allowing you to balance direct student engagement with convenient remote responsibilities.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid licensure and credentials as a school psychologist
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Experience supporting elementary-aged children (K-5) in school settings
• Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills
• Familiarity with educational evaluations, IEP processes, and collaborative teaming
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build rapport and trust with students, families, and staff

Role responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological and academic assessments
• Support the development, implementation, and review of IEPs
• Deliver individual and group counseling as appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student well-being
• Participate in meetings, student support teams, and intervention planning
• Maintain accurate records and submit timely progress reports
• Adapt services to meet the needs of a diverse student population
