School Psychologist in Oakland, CA

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to provide assessments, interventions, and guidance designed to enhance student well-being and success.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
• Current California School Psychologist credential
• Experience conducting psychological and academic assessments
• Familiarity with IEP processes and knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor student support plans
• Commitment to promoting inclusive and equitable practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer psychological evaluations and interpret assessment data
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine student eligibility for special education services
• Support the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students through direct intervention and consultation
• Provide crisis intervention and recommend strategies for challenging situations
• Maintain detailed reports and documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and monitor interventions
• Serve as a resource in the development of preventative and responsive student services
