Make an impact as a school-based Psychologist and Behavior Consultant in a supportive educational environment near Ogdensburg, NY. In this contract position, you’ll work directly with students, teachers, and school staff to promote student growth, well-being, and achievement for the 2026/2027 school year. This role offers the chance to conduct both traditional psychological assessments and hands-on, in-classroom behavior consulting, including the creation of personalized plans for student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer comprehensive psychological evaluations, interpreting assessment results for effective intervention planning
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop/implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings; assist teams in designing and updating individualized education plans
  • Consult with teachers and staff, providing practical guidance for academic, social-emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Help implement evidence-based strategies within both general education and special education classrooms
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe school climate by supporting crisis intervention initiatives
  • Use data-driven practices to monitor student progress and refine interventions

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology
  • New York State School Psychologist Certification required
  • Prior experience serving K–12 students, ideally within public school settings
  • Outstanding assessment skills, with strong communication and collaboration abilities
