Situated close to beautiful Ohkay Owingeh, you’ll work across two elementary school sites, engaging directly with students and staff for 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your expertise will support both pre-referral interventions and a range of evaluative activities that shape student success.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid credential as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
- Previous experience crafting and monitoring effective behavior plans
- Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with teachers and staff to manage behaviors in diverse school settings
- Knowledge of assessment procedures, Response to Intervention (RTI), and familiarity with elementary age students
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to provide guidance and support
- Assist with pre-referral activities and comprehensive student evaluations
- Offer expert advice and training to staff on behavior management techniques
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school policies
- Serve as a proactive resource for mental health and social-emotional development within the school community
