School Psychologist in Olathe, KS

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with a range of intense disabilities as a contract School Psychologist. This opportunity, located near Olathe, KS, extends from August through May and involves working in-person across multiple campus sites within a diverse K-12 setting. The role primarily focuses on conducting comprehensive evaluations for students who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or use assistive technology for communication. This unique position offers a rewarding chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the success of students with significant needs.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Current or eligible Kansas School Psychologist certification/license
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments for students with intense and complex disabilities
• Strong understanding of assistive technology devices and their application in student learning
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and staff
• Flexible mindset and willingness to travel between sites as needed
• Experience working in K-12 educational environments is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform psychological and educational assessments tailored for students with severe disabilities
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop appropriate interventions and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Interpret data and communicate findings clearly to support student growth and access to services
• Rotate between campuses as necessary to meet students’ needs
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and follow ethical standards in all practices
