Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- State-issued School Psychologist certification or eligibility
- Previous experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong knowledge of special education law and IEP development
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Capability to handle confidential information professionally
- Experience in school settings preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate student needs and guide educational planning
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Offer consultation and training to staff regarding mental health, learning, and behavior management
