Required Background:
- Master’s degree (MA, MS, or MEd) in a relevant field
- School Psychologist certification or eligibility
- Minimum of three years experience working with students from early childhood through adolescence
- Proficient in diagnostics, assessment, and counseling
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and generate timely, actionable reports
- Meet with families to discuss findings from evaluations and strategize support
- Perform classroom and individual student observations to inform interventions
- Assess students at various developmental levels, including kindergarten
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for teachers and staff regarding student diagnoses and facilitate best learning practices
- Participate actively in committees such as CSE, CPSE, and 504, supporting individualized student programming
- Review external psycho-educational evaluations to ensure continuity of care
- Provide targeted, short-term counseling for individuals and groups
- Assist in managing student crises and offer informed recommendations to staff and counselors
- Refer students and families to community agencies as appropriate
- Uphold strict confidentiality and foster positive, collaborative relationships with staff, families, and outside professionals
