Working closely with the Director of Special Education, you'll support students and staff while furthering your own expertise. This is a rare opening at a school in need of your skills, with leadership open to professionals undergoing licensure.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology (MA, MS, or M.Ed.)
- Certification (or eligibility) as a School Psychologist
- At least three years of relevant experience spanning the full age range of students
- Expertise in assessment, evaluation, and counseling
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and psycho-educational evaluations for students
- Meet with parents to review findings and recommendations
- Carry out classroom observations and various assessments
- Serve as a resource to staff on student diagnoses/disabilities
- Participate actively in CSE, CPSE, and 504 committees
- Provide brief counseling to individuals and groups
- Respond to crises and consult with counselors
- Refer students to appropriate external agencies when needed
- Maintain confidentiality and cultivate positive professional relationships
- Additional duties as directed by the Director of Special Education
