Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience with counseling, assessments, and the development of education plans (IEPs, 504s)
- Strong knowledge of intervention strategies and legal compliance in school settings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but dedicated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments, interpret results, and provide recommendations for student support
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on interventions and educational planning
- Develop behavioral, academic, and emotional strategies that encourage a positive school climate
- Participate in response-to-intervention (RTI) and multi-tiered support system (MTSS) processes
- Engage in crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and case management
- Ensure documentation meets district, state, and federal guidelines
