Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification/licensure (state requirements must be met)
- Graduate degree (EdS, MA, or PhD) in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting results
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and special education law
- Ability to provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering recommendations and expertise
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student growth and well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Offer crisis management, including risk assessments and immediate response to student needs
- Maintain detailed, confidential records in line with legal and ethical standards
- Support staff development through consultation and training as needed
