Make an impact supporting elementary students as a school psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Omaha, NE. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated staff and provide essential services that help students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. The role is onsite and covers the academic year from August 13, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. There are two available openings, working exclusively with elementary caseloads.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification for Nebraska, or eligibility for state licensure
  • Demonstrated experience working in K-5 school settings, preferably with elementary students
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and consultation skills
  • Experience developing IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and providing crisis intervention
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
  • Recent experience in a similar school-based role is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments for students and interpret results for educational planning
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling, consultation, and intervention strategies to support students’ mental health and learning needs
  • Support staff in behavior management and classroom interventions
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to foster student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district policies
