Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist, providing vital support in an engaging educational environment for the first semester of the school year. This full-time role spans from August 4th through the end of December, offering the chance to work closely with students and staff across two consecutive maternity leaves. You'll enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

As the designated psychologist, you’ll primarily focus on an elementary setting supporting approximately 500 students. This position offers significant variety as you transition between two educators’ leaves, expanding your impact within the school community and fostering meaningful relationships during a crucial period.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist
  • Prior experience in K-12 settings, with a strong preference for elementary school expertise
  • Ability to conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop intervention plans
  • Collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers, administrators, and families
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach
  • Familiarity with educational, behavioral, and emotional interventions

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform psychoeducational assessments and interpretations for referred students
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
  • Consult with teachers and staff to implement effective strategies and supports
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing counseling as needed
  • Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ mental health and educational success
