Working on a contract basis near Orland Park, IL, you’ll collaborate within a supportive school environment, fulfilling vital roles in special education and student support services. This full-time position aligns with regular school hours (7:30am–2:30pm), totaling 35 hours each week, providing a stable and structured schedule perfect for those passionate about education and youth development.

In this dynamic role, you’ll engage in:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations to assess student needs.
  • Serve as an active member of the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) team, contributing expertise and collaborating with other professionals.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to students’ academic performance and social-emotional growth, informing strategies that foster student success.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to teachers, parents, and staff.
  • Support behavioral interventions and assist with the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification (or eligibility to obtain, as required by state regulations).
  • Demonstrated experience with special education evaluations and involvement in collaborative student support teams.
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to use data for problem-solving and intervention planning.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
