Step into an impactful role supporting students across PreK through 8th grade during the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity serves schools in the areas surrounding Orland Park, IL, with a full-time schedule from mid-August to early June (specific dates: August 18th–June 4th; note, emergency days may slightly extend the school year). Collaborate closely with another experienced school psychologist, sharing a caseload of approximately 180 students to make a direct difference in their educational journey.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Possesses a valid PEL and meets all Illinois state requirements for school psychologists
  • Demonstrated school-based experience; new graduates will not be considered
  • Proven ability to support PreK–8 student populations
  • Comfortable working in elementary and middle school environments
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and interpreting results to guide intervention planning
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Providing consultation to teachers and families for student success
  • Delivering direct and indirect services that foster academic, behavioral, and emotional development
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation

The role offers a flexible daily schedule with either an 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. option and a commitment of 35–37 hours each week. Compensation is based on experience, ranging from $50–$60 per hour. You’ll also enjoy healthcare benefits and the convenience of weekly pay.
