This contract position offers the opportunity to make a difference in two vibrant educational settings, just a short distance from Orland Park, IL. This assignment runs from now until June 1st, with the possibility for a hybrid work model, though on-site presence is preferred.
Enjoy a structured daytime schedule from 7:45am to 2:50pm, totaling approximately 35.7 hours weekly, plus a 45-minute unpaid lunch. You'll split your time between two elementary schools, collaborating with dedicated staff and working directly with a caseload of roughly 30-35 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students, using best practices in psychological assessment
- Facilitate and lead domain meetings, collaborating with teachers, families, and related service professionals
- Play an active role in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process, promoting academic and behavioral success
- Provide consultation and support to staff regarding intervention strategies and student progress
- Contribute to reports, eligibility meetings, and the development of appropriate action plans
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting
- Expertise in evaluation processes, MTSS, and special education procedures
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
