Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current licensure or eligibility for school psychologist certification in Maine
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and direct support to students as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to educational planning
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies that promote student success
- Assist in crisis prevention, intervention, and response efforts within the school community
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal and state guidelines
