This school-based position focuses on supporting students, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or utilize assistive technology devices to communicate. As a contracted School Psychologist, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference, working closely with teams as you travel between multiple local campuses to deliver high-quality evaluations and support.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (Kansas credentials required or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with K-12 students, ideally with backgrounds in intense or low-incidence disabilities
- Strong expertise in conducting psycho-educational assessments, including use of alternative/assistive technology communication systems
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary school-based teams
- Comfortable traveling between campus locations as needed for student assessments
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage documentation and timelines effectively
What You'll Do:
- Administer educational and psychological evaluations for students with a range of abilities and communication needs
- Work collaboratively with special education teams to interpret results and guide intervention and placement decisions
- Adapt testing procedures and materials to accommodate students’ communication styles and physical abilities
- Prepare thorough evaluation reports aligned with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to support individualized student growth
