This is a contract position for the upcoming academic year, beginning in August 2026 and concluding in May 2027. You’ll collaborate with educational teams and families while conducting assessments for students with significant disabilities, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or using assistive technology to communicate. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state-specific license required)
- Experience or strong interest in evaluating students with profound disabilities, including use of nontraditional communication methods (AT devices)
- Deep understanding of evaluation tools and processes for special populations
- Knowledge of K-12 educational environments and IEP processes
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to travel between various campuses as needed
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and functional assessments for a caseload of students with intense needs
- Employ a variety of approaches and tools, adapting to support non-verbal students or those using assistive technology
- Collaborate with IEP teams, educators, families, and related service providers to develop and monitor individualized student plans
- Maintain comprehensive records in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Support students’ access to educational opportunities through thoughtful recommendations
- Stay current with best practices in assessment and intervention for students with complex profiles
