As a contract School Psychologist, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to provide essential counseling, assessments, and interventions for the entire school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current certification or eligibility for school psychologist licensure in Kansas
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data
- Strong skills in consultation, intervention planning, and crisis response
- Ability to foster productive relationships with students, families, and faculty
- Effective communicator with organizational savvy and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Previous experience in K-12 schools preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments for students referred for support services
- Develop and recommend tailored interventions to promote student well-being and achievement
- Consult with teachers and parents to facilitate effective classroom strategies and learning environments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support during urgent student needs
- Support school-wide initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive learning culture
