Required Skills & Experience:

  • Valid license or certification as a school psychologist in California
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in school psychology or a related field
  • Experience conducting behavioral, emotional, and academic assessments
  • Excellent skills in counseling individuals and groups
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • In-depth knowledge of special education laws and processes
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • Positive, flexible attitude and strong organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
  • Interpret assessment results to help develop effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct counseling support and interventions to students
  • Serve as a vital resource for staff and families concerning mental health, learning disorders, and behavior management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design strategies supporting students’ academic and social development
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and provide relevant staff training
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
