School Psychologist - Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Support the academic and emotional success of K-8 students as a full-time school psychologist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers approximately 39 hours per week, working closely with students, families, and school staff to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
• Experience or training in K-8 educational settings
• Strong skills in student evaluation and assessment
• Capability to facilitate and participate in meetings with staff and families
• Flexibility to work in collaboration with social work services when needed
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for K-8 students
• Provide direct support to students, including those experiencing emotional or behavioral concerns
• Participate in and support student-centered meetings, including IEPs and intervention planning
• Step in to assist students when a school social worker is unavailable
• Collaborate and consult with educators, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies
• Uphold all ethical, legal, and district reporting requirements
• Maintain consistent presence during school hours: 7:45 AM–3:15 PM, with extended hours on Wednesdays until 4:45 PM for professional development sessions
