Support the academic and emotional success of K-8 students as a full-time school psychologist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers approximately 39 hours per week, working closely with students, families, and school staff to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Experience or training in K-8 educational settings
- Strong skills in student evaluation and assessment
- Capability to facilitate and participate in meetings with staff and families
- Flexibility to work in collaboration with social work services when needed
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for K-8 students
- Provide direct support to students, including those experiencing emotional or behavioral concerns
- Participate in and support student-centered meetings, including IEPs and intervention planning
- Step in to assist students when a school social worker is unavailable
- Collaborate and consult with educators, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies
- Uphold all ethical, legal, and district reporting requirements
- Maintain consistent presence during school hours: 7:45 AM–3:15 PM, with extended hours on Wednesdays until 4:45 PM for professional development sessions
