Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving grades 6-12 as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year in the Penfield and surrounding areas. This position begins August 26, with the first day of student instruction on September 2, and concludes on June 24. You’ll work alongside dedicated educators and support staff, making a significant impact in students’ academic and emotional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology required
- Current New York State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience providing psychological services in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Proficiency in administering diagnostic assessments and interpreting data
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic tests for students in grades 6-12
- Provide individual and group therapy services as needed
- Attend and actively participate in PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans
- Document all evaluations, therapy, and interventions in compliance with district policies
- Support a positive and inclusive school culture by contributing expertise to student support teams
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure holistic support for students’ academic and emotional needs
