Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting students across varying grade levels. In this pivotal full-time position, you’ll spend most of your time onsite with one virtual day each week, collaborating with staff and families to nurture student wellbeing and facilitate educational success. This role primarily focuses on a 9th-grade center and may occasionally extend to elementary or middle school settings.

Your work will provide essential support for students with a wide spectrum of needs, including those identified with Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Dyslexia. Your expertise in counseling, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and administering cognitive/achievement testing for SLD and Dyslexia evaluations will directly impact student outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Texas
  • Experience in diverse educational environments preferred
  • Strong background with FBA/BIPs and counseling for AU, ED, OHI, SLD, and Dyslexia
  • Proficiency in cognitive and achievement assessments, particularly for SLD/Dyslexia eligibility
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and case management skills
  • Flexibility to work with students and staff across multiple grade levels

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling to students individually and in groups
  • Oversee and administer psychoeducational assessments and eligibility evaluations
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective educational and behavioral support plans
  • Implement and monitor FBAs and BIPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
